* ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

This is the seventh installment of one the leading conferences on issues related e-commerce technologies and e-business management. Previous meetings of the annual event were held in places such as, for example, Seoul, Vienna, Pittsburgh, and Delft.

The ICEC Conference is held for the first time in Mainland China. Xian, as the ancient capital of the old Chinese empire, is a city that uniquely blends ancient history and classic Chinese culture with modern technology. For a couple of millennia, Xian was the capital for thirteen consecutive dynasties. Along with Rome, Athens, and Cairo, it is known as one of the "four ancient civilized world cities." The most stunning sites displaying Chinese history and culture are the Terracotta Warrior Museum and Big Wild Goose Pagoda around Xian. Aside from being a major tourist destination and historical city, Xian today is a modern and prosperous city equipped with world-class conference facilities and excellent business infrastructure.

* PAPER SUBMISSION

The official language of the conference is English. Submissions to ICEC2005 must not have been published in a journal or conference proceedings, nor been presented or under review with another conference or journal. All submitted papers will be blind and peer reviewed.

Authors are required to submit their papers electronically in either MS-Word or PDF format. Please submit your papers through the online submission system (http://www.icec2005.org/papersubmit/shouye.asp). Papers should be using12-point font and double-spacing, and should not exceed 5,000 words. More details about paper submission can be found at the conference web site at http://icec2005.org.


* PAPER PUBLICATION

Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings provided that at least one author registers for and attend the conference. A selection of the best papers will be fast-tracked for possible inclusion in special issues of the journals Electronic Commerce Research and Applications (ECRA), Journal of Electronic Commerce Research, and International Journal of Web services. High quality papers will be nominated for the Best Paper Award which will be presented at the closing banquet.
