Memsership Categories

There are several classes of membersip: lifelong member,reglar member, student memberm group member , and library member. Qualifications for each membersip categories are as follows.

¨ç Regular Members
Individuals holding the bachelor's or advanced degrees in MIS or related disciplines; or individuals having experience at research institutes, industry, or academe in MIS or related disciplines, who pay the annual fee. There are lifelong members in this category as a special type who makes alump sum payment of ten times the annual fee.

¨è Student Members
Students who are currently studying MIS or related disciplines in the course of graduate schools and pay the annual fee.

¨é Group Members
Corporations or Groups that support the objectives of the Society and pay the annual fee. Each Corporation or Group is allowed to register up to 5 persons and a person of those is eligible to be a representative.

¨ê Library Members
Libraries that support the objectives of the Society and pay the annual fee. The schedule of annual fees for each type of membership is as follows.

Benefits of Membership

The Society is engaged in a wide range of activities at both the regional and national levels.

The activities provide members with the opportunity to participate in domestic and
international conferences, seminars, workshops, tutorials, and invited lectures.
In addition, each member receives the Journal of MIS Research four times a year and the
Information Systems Review twice a year. Only members may submit papers to both
Journals.
Members are allowed to participate in the activities of the Society by playing a role on
Special Interest Groups.

The Society maintains various MIS documents as well as the mailing list of the membership,
which can be made available for use by individual members for the academic purpose.
